January 28, 1959 President Carlos P. Garcia approved the National Plumbing Code of the Philippines prepared by "master plumbers" of the National Master Plumbers Association of the Philippines.

- The Plumbing Code of the Philippines states the guidelines of building a system of pipe and other installations in a building; for the proper distribution of clean and potable water.

- Ang nasabing Plumbing Code ay naglalaman ng guidelines sa pagtatayo ng sistema ng mga pipe at iba pang na ini-install sa isang gusali para sa distribusyon ng malinis at maayos na daloy ng tubig.

January 28, 1985 – The charity single "We are the World" is recorded by the super group “USA for Africa” which consists of Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie and other international pop stars.

-The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie for the album “We are the World”.

-It was the first ever single to be certified multi-platinum, on the same-title album which received a Quadruple Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America. We Are the World has raised over $63 million for humanitarian causes, 90% pledged to African relief, and 10 % for domestic hunger and homeless programs in the US.
